Monteriggioni is a small mediaeval village in the middle of Tuscan hills.
From the top of the ancient walls you can see all the village (it’s really small) on the inside, and the beautiful countryside on the outside. The weather this time wasn’t exactly on our side, but it still couldn’t take away the beauty of Monteriggioni.
As small as charming this village can be seen in less than an hour, including the time to browse in the shops with typical products and taking suggestive pictures. It is very easy to reach from Siena and totally worth the stop.

You have many medieval villages in the middle of the countryside or up on the hills, like Monteriggioni. […]
