December 26th 2013,

Our Californian trip is starting with Sacramento as the first destination, capital of the state.

After the lovely snow and Christmas lights, some heat is what we need!

Sacramento is just our overnight stop to get some rest and break the long drive to San Francisco. We don’t have much time to visit, just a few hours in the evening, and we decide to dedicate it to the old town, along the river.

After crossing the Tower Bridge we find a new country and charming world!

This is the living historic district, characterized by the old railway with wood pavement and wood building all around. It’s like to be in a western movie.

On top of that there is a Christmas light show projecting on the face of the building, and this is just awesome!

The Capitol Building is just a short walk away and it is totally worth a look.

What can I say, old is always charming.
